Here’s a puzzler to warm you up on a chilly day. How much tea does the average size tea kettle hold?
“When you drop a playing card on the table”, you demonstrate to a spectator, “it lands on 1 side or the other. Can you drop it, from a height of at least 1 foot, so it lands on its edge?”
You must be joking! No, we’re not. If the pencil moves across the paper, it must make a mark. Hint: This may entail some out of the box thinking!
This one is trickier than you think!
Here’s a fun family puzzler to try out at your Thanksgiving gathering. Ben’s mother has 3 children. (Show 3 coins on your palm–a nickel, dime, & penny.) The first one is named Nicole (push the nickel forward). The second is named Diamond Jim (push the dime forward). What is the third child’s name?
April is the 4th month, so a puzzle about 4’s seems appropriate. You can put the 4’s together however you’d like. And you can use any arithmetic operations: +, -, x, or /.
