Circus Artist in Residence

Circus Artist Residency

With our circus artist in residence program, your students can enjoy a circus show, get to know a circus performer, and develop valuable circus skills! Instead of running away with the circus, we bring the circus to you!

Circus Skills

make-a-movie circus routine

Our Circus Artist in Residence Program develops many skills in kids:

  • Presentation skills in front of a group
  • Self confidence
  • Fine motor skills
  • Persistence
  • Physical Activity—in a fun way!

Circus Props

learn circus

Our circus artist in residence helps kids develop skills on a variety of different circus props. These can include: stilt-walking, unicycle riding, rolla bolla, flower sticks, ribbon, shaker cups, spinning plates, and more!

Circus Shows

circus show/workshop

Typically we present 2 shows in our circus artist in residence program. The first day we put on a circus show for the kids. It gets them laughing and having fun, and excites them about the skills they will be learning!

The last day, the kids star in their own circus, using the skills that they have learned during the artist residency. The show can be video taped for you and your kids to enjoy, and for prospective students to see how much fun they have at your location.

In between the shows we teach circus skills to your kids. This can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several weeks, depending on how much time you have for us to develop your students’ circus skills.

Circus Day Program

circus camp St. Louis

Our circus day program is a short version of our circus artist in residency. It works great for overnight camps, and 1 day or half day visits. As above, we put on an opening circus show for the kids. Then, we teach each group of kids a different circus act. To close the program, the kids star in a circus that they put on, which can be video taped and played back later if you’d like.
